My Personal Health Story

Like many, I grew up in a world where food was a source of comfort, celebration, and connection. However, I saw how unhealthy habits could negatively impact physical and mental well-being over time. As someone living with and advocating for Type 2 diabetes awareness, I recognized the significant role that culture and lifestyle play in shaping our health. This realization ignited my passion to help others on their own paths to wellness.

Why I Became a Diabetes Culture Coach

I wanted to bridge the gap between cultural traditions and modern health practices. Many individuals, particularly in Black and Caribbean communities like mine, face unique challenges when trying to adopt healthier lifestyles. As a Diabetes Culture Coach, my goal is not to replace these traditions but to reimagine them in ways that benefit both the body and soul.

My Beliefs

Central to my coaching philosophy is the belief that making small, sustainable changes can lead to significant, long-lasting results. Whether it's finding joy in movement, enjoying balanced meals, or prioritizing self-care, every habit matters. Health is not about deprivation—it's about empowerment and abundance.
